I was skeptical of other reviews about the durability of this thread. Unfortunately, because it is _designed_ to break so as not to suffocate wild animals, this also means it is not as durable as nylon thread. I think this could probably be overcome by using a thicker strand or some sort of braid. This should provide an increase in durability as it degrades in the environment. I've only had breakage issues on a few teeth, I assume they have some sort of nicks or sharp edges cutting the floss. Dental floss breaks about every other dental floss. If I reduce the force I put on the floss it won't break, but I don't think it cleans very well with that little force. The thread feels similar to Glide Pro Health - pleasantly smooth. The taste is pleasant, not too spicy, which I like. The stainless steel container is great, wish I had all the filaments in one! There are no problems cutting the container. My case was shiny and fingerprint free. My only criticism is the durability as my ultimate goal is to clean my teeth.
