Sounds weird but I chose this masking tape because of the bad reviews. Many reviewers didn't like this tape because it didn't stick. I love him for the same reason. I still use it to this day, labeling groceries in the refrigerators of a grocery service I run. It is ideal for this purpose, as the adhesive comes off immediately without leaving any residue. An alternative is duct tape, which can be good in the outside world, but will never completely peel off or wash away the containers it's applied to. This tape may not keep your box closed, but it's long enough to mark a pot of food, removes easily, and leaves no residue. 5 Stars! Significantly cheaper than "Day Market" or other commercial kitchen labels.
