First bidet, didn't want to spend a lot of money before knowing what features we really need. In hindsight, we would have been fine with a model that only had a wash dial and adjustable pressure (no hot water). First, we live in Florida and the tap water is not as cold as the inside or outside temperature. Second, the bidet doesn't deliver enough water to flush cold water out of the hot pipes before you're done washing. The possibility of connecting hot water is actually not that big of a problem. Possibly in colder climates and if you are cleaning cold water in the sink before using the bidet, the hot water option can help. I did this to get warm water and it works fine. It would be helpful if the water flow characteristics were published so one can understand if it is flowing enough for a water heater to work.
