I live in a rented apartment and had to think about a mobile air conditioner. Bought a month ago. I inserted the exhaust pipe into the outlet ventilation hole in the wall - it turned out conveniently, tightly and neatly. In addition, I wrapped the pipe with thermal insulation so that it would not heat the room. As an air conditioner this thing works well. A room of 20 squares and a corridor behind it cools three degrees in an hour of continuous work. Summer in Hong Kong did not work out this year, and therefore it was not possible to test it in harsh conditions "on the street +35", but summer is summer anyway: even when it is raining and cool outside, the apartment is stuffy and uncomfortable. The air conditioner copes with this feeling, cools and dries the air at the same time. Temperature control is pretty accurate. When the desired temperature is reached, the compressor turns off and only the fan operates. When it warms up, it turns back on. There are two significant disadvantages, but they are typical for all mobile systems. 1. Strong noise, and the noise from the compressor. Those. Turning the fan speed down won't help. 2. For the operation of the air conditioner, it is necessary that fresh air be supplied to the apartment, because. for the air conditioner constantly takes air from the room and spits it out into the street through a pipe. Accordingly, a reduced pressure is formed in the room, so you have to open a window in another room, and this immediately reduces the overall efficiency of air conditioning, compared to split systems. I did not notice the difference in the modes between cooling at low speed and dehumidification, because. no flaps or fan modes are switched inside. I think it's one and the same. The fan mode is not clear why it is needed, any floor fan is more convenient. Night mode is useless, because. the noise is still determined by the compressor, and if it works, then it is impossible to sleep. The general conclusion is this. As a mobile air conditioner, this thing works. But, if it is possible to install a normal split system, then you need to install it. The mobile device has no advantages.
