Sturdy, durable on paddleboard

It's great: stable, durable, practical. I like it better than those $1600 hard boards. The heavier the board, the more difficult it is to pull through the water and is just as stable as a rigid board. The upper sits well on the feet and the bungees are very useful. The center grip is decently placed, better and more comfortable than the hard boards I've tried. I love all the accessories, they are great. Don't let the backpack fool you - it's a good backpack, but you don't want to go hiking with it. It's light enough to carry around, but heavy enough to be annoying all the time. This board goes very straight on the lakes but the river tried to spin me around before I got the hang of it. I hit a rock with my tail fin trying to cross the rapids. Everything is OK. Here's what I don't like: 1. It's so damn hard to pump. 15PSI is killer to make by hand. It's a nice little pump, but OOF, will I ever swell enough not to feel like I'm dying? I start with a 2-way pump and then take out the gizmo when I reach 2psi just to pump out. At 12 psi I practically jump on this thing to crash it. And in between there are many small breaks. I think that applies to any inflatable board, but I'm not sure.2. The fin comes off so hard. At one point someone suggested I use a tool to press on the small flap. I just use a plastic buckle and it works.3. Exhale loudly. So loud. My ear is blocked, what did you say? You can press and hold the button, or you can turn a little and run like me. Just remember to screw it back in when you're done, or next time you're going through the hernia-causing trail of inflating your board, only to have all your hard work blown away when you unscrew the pump. So sad. Feel my tears.4. The paddle is fine. Not great but okay. It fits well, but the shape isn't great. I would absolutely recommend this. I can't think of any reason to spend the extra $100 on another beginner board. However, if I buy a SECOND board, I'll probably choose a long, narrow touring outfit. Some of them are so fast, whooo!
