Sturdy enough for the price and perfect for my use. I don't keep any gold or anything like that. Whether it's a small amount of cash, credit cards, or a USB drive you might want to secure; it does the job. It's also a great way to store a pistol. But I advise you to take the ones that have a lock and key, and NOT a combination lock. Combination locks are junk (because they tend to break). Also, I think the combo should be for a real full sized safe or something more meaningful than this book/safe that I open with a sledgehammer (when not opening with a regular sized hammer).
