This is an overview of the Kraken Sailboat Lowering Tire. Looks great. The case is made out of fairly light nylon, so we'll see how long it lasts in the Hawaiian sun. I doubt it as long as Geo stocks a vinyl cover (which has lasted 30 years). Fastening is done with a lace sewn into the rim - you place it on the tire, tighten, pull and tie the lace. Holds up well at highway speeds.
