Review on πŸ’§ Sonaki Vitamin C Filter Inline Shower Assembly - Compatible with any showerhead - Eliminate up to 99.9% of Chlorine and Chloramines by Renee Robinson

Great filter! But it doesn't drain water. Sonaki, add a bleed valve :)

As many have written here and as I also wrote in response to people's comments, in a clear plastic container that holds the filter after the water is in the shower was turned off. Rotating the filter "vertically" so it's pointing up doesn't seem to help. But I have found that loosening the nut above the filter (where it attaches to the shower water outlet) causes the vacuum to break and water to flow out. So I installed a Delta 2 bypass valve at this point so I can "pump" the line after every shower, and voila, it works, allowing the filter chamber to completely drain the water. I took on the trouble and the extra effort because I like the filter very much and I want to use it, but I don't want to destroy the vitamin C prematurely. Maybe not the most elegant solution, but it works. Also, I should mention that filling the chamber with water between showers might not be all that different than draining it. Is it possible that the vitamin C in the filter is already wet and still cannot dry? However, vitamin C breaks down in water in a day or two, so hopefully the powder won't stay wet when the chamber is empty. ie=UTF8&psc=1
