Review on 🌿 The AquaTerrium Planting Tank: Unite Plants and Fish for a Thriving Eco-System! by Tanya Barker

Nice and well working product with some important design flaws

I am planning to use this tank as a shrimp tank (4-8 dwarf shrimp) as it is too small for fish. I currently have an aquarium with soil, water and live land plants. In the coming weeks I will be adding aquatic plants and shrimp. Pros: - Beautiful and unique. I've never seen such a flashy tank. These are equal parts aquarium, terrarium and fountain. The filter seems good and the pump has an adjustable flow rate. The filter has one compartment with a biological/mechanical filter sponge and another smaller empty compartment where I added another sponge. The light is bright and it seems like my plants are already growing towards it. Cons: Small aquarium. just too small for goldfish and other fish that the sellers recommend. I find it irresponsible to advise my customers to put tetras, goldfish and measles in such an aquarium. Seedling pods are small and do not drain down. My plants look good but their roots don't fit fully into the pods and since the water can't drain from the bottom I'm afraid my plants' roots might rot. If that happens, we'll see over the next few weeks. The filter works noisily and sometimes "blows" water. The top of the mountain lid doesn't fit properly. The tank is small, glass, and doesn't have a lid, so it's difficult to keep the water temperature above 73 degrees (even with a heater). BIGGEST MISTAKE: The only downside I DO NOT PREZE with this tank is that the filter is VERY inconvenient to reach. The entire top half of the "mountain" falls down along with 3 out of 5 landing boxes. Whenever I need to access the filter (to adjust the flow rate, add a heater, clean the sponge, etc.) I tip the plants completely into the two front pods and empty the contents from the top pods. Also, it's VERY narrow in the back and attaching the hose that brings the water up is a nightmare. All in all I really love this little tank and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves water features and unique tanks. . It's a lot of work to set up and I encourage you to put nothing in it but shrimp and plants, but it's beautiful, unique and I'm sure it will be worth the effort once it's up and running.
