I've gone through three of these cases with my soldering gun. Somehow the solder corroded the connection part of the tip and then wore down the wire until the connection broke. One tip was not even last 4 solder points The tip becomes extremely malleable after you heat it enough to solder, it will bend and break. I wish I knew what my old soldering gun tip was made of, lasted 30 years and never had a problem. Weller needs to change Design tips or find a solution.Ridiculous that they cost so much and don't last long.
