Bought to recover files from my dead laptop's hard drive. I would pay a good amount to bring it up to a better buy so they do it for me but searching the internet led me to buy one of these devices and I have to say it's a very good buy! I've been able to transfer photos and other files from my hard drive to a USB flash drive, and I'm happy to report that it saved me a few bucks. My current laptop is quite old, so I've had to settle for a 2.0 adapter (whose upload and download speeds can be a bit slow compared to the newer 3.0 version). However, I am a satisfied customer.
