It will drive you crazy

I think the best thing that can be said about this product is that it works and it's good value, but it has so many problems. The biggest problem is that very often when switching between computers, it's as if those computers see your mouse or keyboard for the first time and each time you switch there and back, they reinstall all of the software for each of those items. I read that some other people also had this problem before I bought this and I thought maybe it's just a bad device, but that…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Useless features

Very convenient and EASY!

Very good, simple product, very easy to connect and works without problems. This product actually solved a problem I was having with my computer randomly turning on at all hours of the night. The problem was caused by the keyboard and mouse waking up the computer even when not in use. They don't do that anymore. This allows me to easily switch between my work computer and my PC and use the same monitor. I have 3 monitors, 2 for work and 2 for play. So the one I use the switch for is the middle…

Avoid this KVM: External components

Just doesn't work, I added another display to my setup, both displays are Acer Predator 4k 60hz. Both run smoothly at 60Hz when connected directly to my GTX 1070. I have good quality DP cables, everything is plugged in but the displays flicker on and off for a few seconds then one stays off until I plug it back in. It also appears to be running at 30Hz, but it flashes on and off. I'm coming from Level 1 Techs 2x1 DP (they made a video on why it's hard to make a KVM that does this, it's no real…

high friction when used

Basically does what it says on the tin which is a huge improvement over the last derailleur I tried to buy! But it introduces friction when using both connected devices - it doesn't seem able to reliably pass through keyboard/mouse wake requests from sleep, so I often have to do the tedious rigmarole of turning my laptop or monitors off - and plug it back in. or toggling back and forth a few times, it sometimes forgets that one of the monitors is plugged in, and despite being externally…

Random crashes - very annoying

Overall a KVM switch is very handy as I can use two PCs with the same monitor that only has a display port input and switch between active mouse and keyboard . simultaneously. However, this KVM switch switches from input 2 to input 1 on its own several times a day, which interrupts my work and causes all my windows to resize and switch to a different monitor. Nothing touching or near the switch when it does. What's even more annoying is that Outlook doesn't handle this resolution switch at all…

4K 60Hz does not work! - KVM Switches

I upgraded my monitors to 4K and bought this switch to use. It has been found that only flashing or black screens appear when the resolution is set to 60Hz. I've tried multiple cables in different configurations with no success. I ran cables straight from the PC to the monitors and 60Hz works fine. After contacting Revain, their response was to simply issue a return and refund instead of replacing the Switch, as they believe all of these devices could have the same issue. I told them they need…

Big Old Paperweight Forget 4K

-623DP" which was sold by Revain.com Services LLC for $389. Unfortunately I am returning this unit after losing several nights of sleep trying to troubleshoot this unit. I have a custom gaming PC and a Lenovo laptop in a docking station for work. For the past few years, I've hooked them up to a three-monitor system, with two 2160p60 displays flanked by a 1080p240 screen. To switch between them I had to manually switch two ports with two ports. -screen KVM from StarTech for 4K displays and…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Presence of Exchange

I was looking for a high quality KVM switch and mainly part M because I have 2 computers that support 4k 60Hz (well, one is stop for work, the second for games). It seems to have achieved the performance I was looking for and the build quality "looked" high, perhaps partly fooled by the rather high price and focused design (without many additional fantasy ports). I guess it can't be cheap Amazon junk because it's not cheap, right? Well, firstly, the keyboard/mouse USB ports are very basic…

Works well with adapters - but only for now

I have a triple monitor setup with a 1440p monitor in the middle and two vertical 1080p monitors on the sides (I call it the TIE Fighter). I recently got a remote job where they sent me a laptop + 2 monitors for work, but I decided to take a chance with a KVM switch rather than take up so much desk space. My side monitors are DVI/VGA only, the middle monitor is DP, my graphics card has 2 DP ports, 2 HDMI ports and 1 DVI port, and my laptop dock has 2 DP ports and 1 VGA port. I needed that. A…
