The screen flickers or jerks or even goes out completely from time to time

I was looking for a high quality KVM switch and mainly part M because I have 2 computers that support 4k 60Hz (well, one is stop for work, the second for games). It seems to have achieved the performance I was looking for and the build quality "looked" high, perhaps partly fooled by the rather high price and focused design (without many additional fantasy ports). I guess it can't be cheap Amazon junk because it's not cheap, right? Well, firstly, the keyboard/mouse USB ports are very basic (ancient), they couldn't see my Corsair Strate keyboard. which has two USBs (1 keyboard and 1 USB bypass, but the keyboard doesn't even work). I had to switch to another keyboard that I have. I haven't tested this much more, but I suspect most USB or other device extensions won't work either. It just doesn't run very smoothly on a monitor. Sometimes it flickers *a lot* and I have to turn it on and off a few times for it to stabilize, especially when I start backing up one device after both have been powered off overnight. Other times when I have both devices on, quickly disconnecting one active channel switches to another and I have to reset it. Lots of these "little" issues that have impacted my user experience. Despite all that I wouldn't give it 1 star and even 2 stars can be harsh as I'm still using it at the moment. I don't know how to find a better KVM switch product that is definitely better anymore and I'd rather stick with it for a while if it doesn't get worse.

Pros

Cons
  • Was damaged
