Great to prepare for a smog check
I bought this OBDII scanner after trying a cheap $20 scanner that was useless. This block has a professional feel and offers a lot more information. Robust construction, durable cable. Includes USB cable for software updates. Replaced the parts in the car, cleared the codes and drove for about 30 minutes to allow the car's computer to record enough data. Simply press the I/M button to indicate smog readiness. A green tick indicates readiness for a smog test. Very nice, clear color display.
