Review on 🦈 JAWS 2: Thrilling Sequel on DVD WS - Experience the Ultimate Shark Terror! by Delbert Potter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cheesy and little to do with the first film

Years after the first film, Brody and his family still live and work on Amity Island. The shark seems to be killing people in the sea again, but it's related to boat accidents and such. Brody is fired from his job after scaring vacationers out of the water and wildly shooting bluefish. Is there a shark or is Brody just traumatized by his past? Jaws 2 brings back almost the entire cast from the first film (with the exception of Hooper and Quint), but it's not nearly as successful. Brody is his usual hero and he fights to save people even when everyone thinks he's wrong. This time his wife has a job and seems less likeable than before because she's more on the side of the island's financial prosperity. Miraculously, the mayor kept his job and went back to his old tricks of discrediting Brody as soon as he said "hai". Now a teenager (accompanied by a bunch of new annoying friends and a love interest to impress), Brody's baby Mike still disobeys his father and acts like if he has to take a part-time job it's the end of the world . This movie is not good. The dialogue is unnatural and unnatural. The situations are completely ridiculous. For example, in the first encounter with a shark, the woman "accidentally" (it seemed entirely intentional) doused herself and the boat in gasoline, somehow causing an explosion intended to kill the shark as well. Apparently he was meant to explode too, but somehow made it off with a slight burn to his face. He wants revenge! Of course, the sneaky teens are trapped as the shark circles around them, and Brody must come to their rescue. If you want a good shark movie this isn't for you. However, the frivolity and mannerisms are fun if you just want a bit of shark craziness.
