Review on πŸ’° GOLD DOLLAR Straight Razor with Vintage Wooden Handle - Razor for Men & Barbers, Shaving Ready (No Stabilizer) by Jihye Rivera

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Meh Straight Razors

Firstly, this razor was not shave ready, it pulled hard and pulled on the first "grain" pass (right hand holding right cheek of face/sideburns). He sharpened his razor before trying again. On the second try, the razor was acceptable. Pros: Easy to sharpen as there is no heel stabilizer. The bevel was easily set with a 3K stone, further grinding work followed well. The scales are well fixed and the blade is centered, the blade almost rubs heavily when opening. Good wooden scale. Keeps the blade light (see cons) Cons: Very heavy razor, twice the weight of any razor I've ever used. Difficult to maneuver around the larynx and jaw due to the weight of the razor. It sharpens easily, but doesn't keep sharpening for long. It fades after a few shaves.
