I must have been unlucky with gold dollars lately. I have the red scaled version which has a great border. Although this razor bears the same markings, it appears to have no cutting edge. I used to have straight GDs and was reluctant to get another one. Uneven sanding and chunky shoulders that needed to be dremel sanded just so you could get frustrated at how difficult they were to sharpen. Firstly, this razor was not shave ready, it pulled hard and pulled on the first "grain" pass (right hand holding right cheek of face/sideburns). He sharpened his razor before trying again.
