would have given 5 stars at first but the one I received doesn't look like the picture. The picture shows a red needle, what I received has a black needle and is a bit harder to see. If I had known it had a black needle I would never have bought it just because it's harder to see BUT it works and works well. I bought this thermometer because I make a lot of jerky, chopsticks, and uncooked sausages and need to set my oven to 200 degrees. Our oven is off at 20/25 degrees, with this thermometer I can now get the temperature right anywhere. need this. and now all the snacks i cook are way better. no more overcooked or undercooked food. I'm happy with this thermometer, just not 100% as it has a black needle instead of a red one. Would buy again it was worth the money just wish I had the one in the photo.
