I have a Tokina AT-X 11-16 F2.8 (circa 2010) which has been my favorite landscape lens for the past 10 years. I bought a 'new' Tokina ATX 11-16 F2.8 in the hopes that 10 years of optical development would have improved sharpness (already excellent) and a redesigned autofocus (smoother and less noisy?). I couldn't see any visible difference between the 2010 purchase and the 2020 Tokina lens (other than external cosmetics). The 2020 lens is back. If you don't already own this lens, this is a great investment for capturing wide-angle, dimly lit subjects. If you already own a previous version of this lens, it will be difficult to see any general improvements in the 2020 version.
