Great value for money and high quality lens!

I just bought a new camera and this lens is perfect for the 90D! My main use for this lens is photographing interiors of real estate. The low light range and megapixel quality of this lens can't be beat for the price. This lens is also well suited for video recordings. I can only recommend this lens!

Value for money DSLR lenses

This review is 1 month since I brought the lenses. I like it - solid, autofocus is sharp, image stabilization is very good too, tried long exposures on a tripod and has comparable clarity to Nikkor lenses. Dislikes - The focus lock is a little rough and requires more effort. In general, I liked the lens given the value for money. . The landscape photos were amazing during the day, but I haven't tried the night photography yet.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Slightly torn

What a big disappointment.

Where to start? I bought a Tokina 24-70 and I really liked this lens so I also looked for Tokina for my wide angle lens. I found a few reviews online but they were from photographers. I mainly shoot video and this lens has so much chromatic aberration that it's only good between 15 and 16mm focal length. I used it for night photography and unfortunately it's my only lens that leaves a blurry image. My Canon 18-55mm EFS kit lens is sharper. I'm not sure if this is the real f2.8. probably best on

Is this a repack of an old AT-X116 Pro DX?

I have a Tokina AT-X 11-16 F2.8 (circa 2010) which has been my favorite landscape lens for the past 10 years. I bought a 'new' Tokina ATX 11-16 F2.8 in the hopes that 10 years of optical development would have improved sharpness (already excellent) and a redesigned autofocus (smoother and less noisy?). I couldn't see any visible difference between the 2010 purchase and the 2020 Tokina lens (other than external cosmetics). The 2020 lens is back. If you don't already own this lens, this is a…

Excellent wide angle lens for close-up shots

I mounted this lens on my Gh5 using a viltrox EF-MII 0.71x adapter, so my review is for this setup only and not a real Canon camera. At first I wanted to return the lens but was reluctant as the wide angle was so amazing with the subject focus point within 4ft, but the lens did not focus to infinity leaving a lot of blur after about 7ft. Sad face. I watched this video and did the surgery on the lens. It now focuses at infinity to make it worth buying. Not sure if it didn't work properly…
