I had high hopes for this collar as it had good reviews and of course it looked beautiful. However, when I adjusted it to fit around my cat's neck, she somehow bit through the wooden heart and it broke in half, with splinters and sharp edges. The broken half also detached from where it was glued to the collar. What if, in my absence, my cat somehow detached itself from the glued heart and swallowed the pieces? I feel this could have been very dangerous for her and I regret returning this collar. The manufacturer should have used strong solid wood and attached it with something stronger than glue, especially at this price point! (I wonder if gorilla glue would hold). Perhaps I should have adjusted the collar quickly (although I tried to measure beforehand) but animals are animals and you can't predict what they will do. My two year old cat is very gentle and has never broken a cat toy. I will not be buying from this manufacturer again due to concerns about the choice of materials and design - I mean, besides tearing off the plastic cap to avoid choking hazard, have they cared about safety at all.
