I love these socks. These are without a doubt the most comfortable and best fitting wool compression socks I have ever worn. However, they are not the heaviest. Scuffs on the heels in the photo only after 3 months of wearing. I wear them at work, alternating with a few other pairs of wool socks. I wear sturdy, steel-toed work boots and spend most of the day on my feet, walking on hard, uneven, and unstable surfaces. I think if you were just walking around they would be fine, but for my needs I either have to find something heavier or just live with it and factor in the cost of buying a new pair of these every few months. The compression is the best I've found, the wool is very soft and fits great. I only wish they had lasted longer.
