Repairing 3 of my Kohler toilets due to slow valve leaks. It worked great! Here's how I installed them: 1. Pull the lid and turn off the water.2. Drain all water from the tank. 3. Remove the old valve, chain and float and set aside. Install the new flap on the bottom5. adjust the planer to the old position by pulling the black washers horizontally out of the chain5. Cut the tip of the chain to remove slack from the handle, a slight 1/4 inch wobble is acceptable. The chain must not be under tension. 6. Fill with water and check flushing. If necessary, adjust the chain or float. Each time I had to make 3 more adjustments for a perfect flush NOTE: floats towards the bottom of the chain means more water per flush, higher less (my floats were 4-6 beads off the bottom) That's it!
