Review on Mann Filter 35 154 Air Filter Replacement Parts by Homer Reed

Perfect for my 2012 VW Jetta TDI. Based on a previously dealer-installed filter, the fit, finish and shape were identical except for a few markings. This seems to be confirmed as other reviews have said it is OEM. When it comes to fairly cheap car filters, I stay away from cheap ones and often stick to OEM products as they are good quality for good brands like VW, Toyota etc. With cheap brand filters (Fram) you can clearly feel and see the quality. Differences like filter surface area (shorter pleats), lower quality rubber used, more brittle feel, and if you search the web you can find filter performance statistics in terms of flow resistance versus particle capture speed. Overall this is exactly what fits my car which is OEM quality and frankly quite cheap considering how important it is to keep your car healthy. So take it when it suits you and you will be happy.
