I have a drum band and it's great. High quality rod and striker so I thought it would be the same but it is not. The wand throws big sparks as it should, but not the included firing pin. My striker isn't sharp enough to even make enough sparks. I use my knife and it works fine. If you go for ferro with firing pin at this price point, go for uco. He's bigger and the striker is much better. If you want a really good ferro, get a shock group. It's worth every penny
