Review on 🎨 FolkArt Ultra Dye: Assorted Colors (2 oz), 3907 Rendezvous - Vibrant and Versatile Crafting Solution by Kristen Simpson

I was looking for a bold red-red to complete the project. The color I bought (infra red, not raspberry red) turned out to be pink. The "finished" project looked more like a kid drawing back and forth across the surface with one of those fluorescent pink markers, which brings me to my second point, application. Although the surface of my project was unfinished. Initially, the dye recipe was such a headache for me, according to the instructions that came with it, that I couldn't even it out no matter what tool I used. Tried brush, foam brush and roller to no avail. I waited for the first coat to dry to see if I could tone down the pink with a second coat. no I love Folkart products so I was surprised when the quality didn't meet my expectations. It's best to mix the color with some water to get a translucent liquid color that's more title/preview friendly. If you're looking for a true red that spreads well and evenly, save your money (and projects; it's too late for mine) by skipping this elementary school highlighter in a bottle. I will continue to buy tried and true folk art, will be a staple going forward, but this one is useless.
