I use this hooked up to my computer because my built in mic was terrible. During the conference calls, everyone asked me to repeat and that they couldn't hear me. I bought this and nobody asked me to repeat myself. The mute button is also a nice feature so people don't hear me when I'm typing or doing anything else until I speak. I don't know what it's like as I haven't asked anyone but it should be fine as no one is asking me to repeat myself anymore. It's plug and play, but the manual will tell you what level to set the mic to initially (which I have and didn't need to set). A good product.
