I would recommend just buying a brand new watch. I couldn't mate AT ALL. I literally couldn't access the watch at all because 1) it actually needed to be paired with the phone and 2) it hadn't been updated making things difficult. I literally tried everything to get it working, nothing worked. He kept saying there was something wrong with my internet connection even though it had nothing to do with it. As a last resort, I took it to an Apple Store because there was absolutely nothing my carrier could do and Apple was able to fix the situation. But it was all a hassle because they had to send it in for repair/replacement, which takes 3-5 days. I'm really glad it was free and that the watch was technically brand new, so a lot worked in my favor, I just don't appreciate all the things I had to do to finally fix my problem. So really think about this step if you want to buy.
