Review on Electric scooter Ninebot Kickscooter ES2, up to 100 kg, dark gray by Aneta Kowal ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good and high-quality product, but there are disadvantages.

I bought it with a dream to go to work, enjoying the sunlight (by car, it's a pity to be in traffic jams, the subway is sick of it - half a life underground, damn it). After the first trip (did not make it 2.5 km to the office - the charge was enough for 15 km out of 18.5 required, with a declared mileage of 25 km) I decided to buy an additional battery - and believe me, it's more than worth it: with additional . battery is a completely different ride, not only in range, but also in dynamics. With my 85 kg, I’m guaranteed to drive 25 km in the conditions of Hong Kong in the “sport” mode, while pulling uphill is great, it takes it out of the underpasses along the ramps with acceleration. I brake mainly with the rear brake, although there was no more need to save energy on my routes. Now I drive my 18.5 km from home to work in 1 hour 20 minutes, which is comparable in time to a trip by public transport (12022-12022, metro plus bus), but in terms of pleasure, it’s incomparable, by no means :) At the same time, the charge remains 45-50%. So the dream, in general, came true. For children (junior and middle schoolers), the device is too big (the steering wheel is high) and heavy, although they get up and go :) For adults, including women of an elegant physique, it is quite suitable. Traveled with him in the subway - normal, not bulky.

Pros
  • Quite compact for this class of devices. Conveniently folds and unfolds. Display with current speed values, remaining charge indicator, Bluetooth connection indicator with the application in the smartphone, mode indicator (safe, standard, sports). Good light from the headlight. Spacious footwell (deck). There are no wires/cables outside. The rear brake is a primitive mechanical, fender-to-wheel, which is good because it saves battery power (the brake lever on the handlebar simply forces the motor to resist rotation using battery power). The popular Xiaomi even has a disc brake at the back, but its lever is connected to the controller and when braking, the rear wheel is braked mechanically, and the front wheel is simultaneously braked by a motor using battery power.
Cons
  • Too many loopholes. I studied the design for the danger of these backlashes, came to the conclusion that it does not affect the functionality / safety, however, tapping - rattling does not add joy to skating.
