Review on 🌞 eMACROS Solar Receiver for Improved Driveway Alarm Coverage up to 1/2 Mile by Coby Hall

If you want to test it send it to me.

I am a retired foreigner. My whole career I've looked for problems and then fixed them. While I like a lot about this system, I also have a few issues. Likes first: 1. 4 dedicated channels, sensors are selectable by switch.2. Solar-charged sensors. Sensors can also be brought indoors and charged.3. 2 levels of sensitivity, select switch.4. The receiver uses 2 power sources - batteries and USB/AC. Cons: 1. Not even close to a 1/2 mile range! Maybe 200 yards, line of sight. Less in the forest. The receiver has an external antenna - the sensors also need external antennas. I have ordered 2 more sensors and will be adding "wire" antennas that hang from a tiny hole at the bottom of the sensors. I have done this many times with El Cheapo Driveway Sensors with great success. The plastic mounting plate on the sensor is exactly the same size as the sensor block, leaving no room to use a screwdriver to install the plate. As such, you must rotate the sensor mount to gain access. Depending on which direction you rotate the unit, loosen or pull (breaking the plastic bracket) the single mounting screw, which is only accessible with the bottom panel removed. Increase the size of the mounting plate by 1" X 1".3. The receiver's power connector is located on the top of the device. This leads to two problems. First, the device is unbalanced by the cord when sitting upright and second, when unplugged, it's open to any dirt, debris, or liquid that should get on it. I want the port to be at the bottom on the side. If I could get a 1/4 mile range with this system I would happily give it another star. or 2.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Vulgarity
