Works pretty well. The tones really stink!

Mount it at the front entrance of the ranch so I can hear when the company arrives. Or waive the shipping. It has worked fairly well so far, letting me know when a vehicle drives through the gate. I have to say that I really don't understand the tones that this company has chosen for this thing. Man, are they supposed to be that weird? Why can't he just make a simple melody or just a note? The noises are so annoying that I decided to place them at the entrance of the barn. I did this so the…

Protects my chickens VERY well.

UPDATE: I've been using this for over a year and it works great! As you can see from the photos I lost some fish BEFORE moving the track monitor into the pond. Every time a crane lands at my pond, it warns me! Now it's only a matter of time that I catch him before he catches more fish like I caught the raccoon that was terrorizing and killing my chickens! I do not recommend this driveway alarm! I plug it into my chicken, which is plugged into a USB power adapter, and it transmits a signal to a…

If you want to test it send it to me.

I am a retired foreigner. My whole career I've looked for problems and then fixed them. While I like a lot about this system, I also have a few issues. Likes first: 1. 4 dedicated channels, sensors are selectable by switch.2. Solar-charged sensors. Sensors can also be brought indoors and charged.3. 2 levels of sensitivity, select switch.4. The receiver uses 2 power sources - batteries and USB/AC. Cons: 1. Not even close to a 1/2 mile range! Maybe 200 yards, line of sight. Less in the forest…

Intermittent results, even false positives, send them back to Revain.

If you need an entrance sensor that delivers intermittent notifications, this is the sensor for you. The fence posts at the end of my driveway are 16 feet apart and 90 feet from the front of the house. The bell was placed on a chest inside the house by the front door, no more than 100 feet from the sensor. If I look through the glass of the front door, I can clearly see the sensor on the fence post. First, I placed the sensor on a fence post 3 feet off the ground, facing southeast. In a low…

Good way to keep an eye on the driveway

My parents have a driveway that leads onto a country road with limited visibility to the left and frequent cars rushing by. I bought this system in hopes that it would be able to warn of approaching vehicles. I had two main questions: 1. Will the sensor's solar panel keep the device charged and 2. Will the receiver work in a car 500 feet away. The answers were "yes" and "yes" - with one caveat. I screwed the sensor into a roadside tree at an estimated height of 3 feet and pointed it in the…

Reliable long range without false alarms!

Media could not be loaded. The device comes in minimal packaging in a molded clear plastic shell, individually boxed in the shipping carton so you don't have to worry about any damage. There's a sensor (with solar panel, battery, switches and IR sensor) in a coffee colored one piece die cast and a black base/receiver unit, now with an external antenna and all red LEDs to show you where sensor activity is low on battery etc. The long cable also has a USB/micro port for charging the sensor…

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • So far so good

From Manhattan to small town North Carolina. I used to park in the lot for a whopping $350. Month. Now in our new home with a 1/4 mile paved road; nice to know when someone has entered my property. So I started looking for a driveway alarm. Many here were overpriced, I'm no cheapskate but I insist on the value of my retirement dollars. I wanted to know beforehand when someone was coming to my front door; it was badly needed. Expandability was also important as there were multiple driveways to…
