Bargain buy, 10 hours remaining

This rotary tool is great value for money. It works well, has good performance, good speed, comes with a handy box and several attachments at a very good price. I have about 10 or more hours of actual work, labor time on this tool, mostly on carbide bits that ruin aluminum cylinder heads, but also some woodwork. The block is holding up well. The extension attachment fits the Dremel 4000, but the threads of the jam nut and ring are different. I used the attachment on my Dremel 4000 and it worked fine. However, I noticed that the remote nozzle gets quite hot after prolonged use. I pulled out the remote pin and pulled the metal cable out of the middle, smeared white lithium grease on it and reinstalled. Some seem to have helped. I re-oiled it after a few hours of use but used CRC cutting oil instead. It's thick, sticks very well to rotating surfaces, handles heat well and smells good too! This appears to have allowed the device to cool at the plug and there appears to be less vibration and less tendency to slow down due to snagging when the cable is bent at a more acute angle. I think the manual suggests lubricating the cable every 5 hours of use. I oil it after about 3 hours of use if I used lithium grease. I think this CRC cutting oil will last longer. Addendum: approx. 30 operating hours. I have lubricated the flexible shaft many times. The CRC tended to drip off the flex shaft after the viscosity started to drop. I went back to white lithium grease in a tube, a pasty thing. This eliminated the dripping. Everything still works as expected. I also noticed a slight grinding/sticking noise, a little more than usual, at the flexshaft's junction with the tool. I screwed and screwed back, but not as tight. This helped with the noise and seemed to help it be a bit more efficient. I've noticed that it starts to work itself out when it's a little tight but not tight, so you have to go through a thin line and check the connection quite often. I plan on loosening it until the noise goes away and I feel more efficient, then I'll drill a hole and put a small set screw in it. I could pull it at first. My wife has trouble unscrewing plastic bottles which I tighten so I do it but I don't realize it and it probably doesn't reflect the durability or quality of the products. I buy products based on honest, well-written reviews, so I try to help others by making them available to others. If you liked this review, could you click helpful so I know I'm not wasting my time? Thanks very much!
