I bought these skates for my 11 year old daughter. She takes figure skating lessons and needs her own skates. The skates on the rink cost over $80 so I decided to buy them. she loved her. The color is lighter and more neon pink in person, but they are really cute. Skateboarding coaches have told us that these aren't real skates, that they are technically play/street skates because the wheels don't spin continuously like skates do, and they don't glide effortlessly across the rink like more professional skates. does. However, I asked her what she thought of them and she said they were fine but some wheels were a little tight and didn't roll very well. I thought these skates were the same as the ones sold at the rink but at a lower price I guess I was wrong. I'm a bit upset because the description said they were skates and they were only $25 cheaper than the original. Overall she still loves these skates and is not a pro just a kid who loves to skate and they do the job perfectly and look cute!
