I use them for crème brûlée, they are wider and flatter than regular shapes. But that's okay, and actually a feature if your favorite part of the dessert is the top bowl, because this design makes it a more visible part of the whole. I would recommend them. Don't forget to adjust the cooking time for a smaller recipe. For example, in my case, the cooking time was increased from 30 minutes to 20 minutes to get the best results.
