Review on πŸ“Έ LensCoat Lens Cover for Tamron SP 150-600 mm f/5-6.3 Di VC - Black Neoprene Sleeve for Ultimate Camera Lens Protection by Eimei Suzuki ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent product, the best quality.

I bought it in early September, I shoot on 6D. Somehow it didn't impress me at first compared to the Canon EF 100-400L. In the entire range from 150 to 400 Canon is a bit sharper, even with a covered aperture. And the picture itself is slightly different in color reproduction. I do not know why. At 500-600 mm, it slightly outperforms 100-400L due to the larger focal length. But the detail . After reading the reviews, I came to the conclusion that the quality floats from copy to copy. Maybe I'm out of luck. I compare according to DXO charts on dpreview: http://www. Dpreview. Com/ Tamron should win, but in reality - nothing like that. Rather, they just got a prepared version for the test. Liked the review more: http://www. The-digital-picture. Com/ At least he honestly wrote that only the third copy was really good. ate: Cool. I re-read the article on the-digital-picture. Com. There is no longer a paragraph about buying, returning to the Tamron service, getting it with even worse characteristics and achieving the goal only at the 3rd iteration. But there is a new paragraph: ate: Tamron ated the firmware installed on the Canon mount Tamron 150-600 VC lens, specifically targeting improved AF performance. Initial reports are that the ate made a noticeable improvement in AF accuracy. This ate was issued sometime mid-northern-hemisphere summer 2022. Lenses with older firmware can be sent to Tamron to receive this ate. I myself ended up selling the Canon 100-400L. Having taken more pictures of both topics and topics, looking closely at the photo in LR, I still chose Tamron :)

Pros
  • For such a price, excellent focal, aperture and sharpness. The stub is really good.
Cons
  • There are none for this price.
