I wanted a working oil lamp so it wouldn't look ugly between thunderstorms all year round. That's it! First, it is more beautiful in person than the online picture. I didn't have the problem unscrewing the wick holder like other reviewers, however it seems to me that the threads have snapped. It can be protected, but it took several attempts. The included wick is about 6 inches of material and goes to the bottom of the lamp, but not extra. I filled it with 32 ounces of lamp oil without overfilling. The tabs popped out a bit and then secured it themselves. Even with minor adjustments, it's still 5 stars for looks and functionality.
