Excellent coat. The part that connects directly behind his front legs was too wide. When he became number 1 (sorry, I'm trying to be tactful) some hit that part of the jacket. I just cut off a few inches on each side to give it a little more "gap" and it worked fine. Later I removed the piping from the cut out pieces and reattached them to the raw edges of the jacket. Where the adjustment was made is hard to say. Since our little one was born and raised in a tropical climate, I doubt there's anything that would really keep him warm in the bitter Chicago cold, but he was definitely warmer than without a jacket. The snow on the ground was deeper than he was tall, and the jacket protected a significant portion of his body from wet snow. Big respect! He also looks sporty. I would definitely recommend this jacket to anyone.
