The pre-cut black butterfly fairing fits perfectly over the gold butterfly on my 2018 Silverado LT 4x4 steering wheel. First I rubbed the golden butterfly with alcohol and a cotton swab. Take the time to ensure the pad is level before pressing or heating it. Once it's aligned, use your fingernail and work gently around the edges. Note that you still MUST use a heat gun or blow dryer to complete the application for the pad to adhere properly. So do not skip this step, otherwise you may not get the desired results. I used my wife's blow dryer on low speed for a few minutes and it worked fine. All in all it took me about 15 minutes to apply. It looks great and the matte black color goes well with the rest of the interior. No more GOLD! I highly recommend.
