This rack is amazing - I'm very happy with its performance. I use this type of grate for roasting chicken pieces and sometimes bacon. Although the wire diameter is slightly smaller than other grates I've had, it's still strong enough for baking/roasting. It cleaned up beautifully with little effort and was spotless after being washed in the dishwasher. Other supports I've had were plated or coated steel and eventually they rust or the coatings erode. I expect this stainless steel shelf to last a lot longer than the cheaper versions. The only thing I have is that some of the cut ends of the wires were a bit sharp - a quick rub with my diamond knife sharpener smoothed them out. The question is will this grate survive an oven cleaning cycle if I get it really dirty.
