These frames are perfect for my needs. Some people tell the quality of a frame by its weight and the thickness of the glass, and I assume that a quality frame is made of hard and heavy wood, but I like light frames. These frames are lightweight but don't look cheap. I think the frame is wood; but it is expensive inferior wood. These frames use acrylic instead of glass. It just suits me. In this case, the weight of the painting or the use of glass does not bother these people. However, I like to use picture hanging bars and they don't support the weight of the heavy frame and glass. And I like it when you can hang something up with as few holes as possible. I also like to swap out my frames every 5 years or so and that wouldn't be possible if I bought more expensive frames. I prefer to buy frames in sets of at least 6 because I like my frames to be consistent. Affordable frames because they allow me to. And they look good. These frames are simple but very beautiful. By the way, I ordered 6 and none had any scratches, stains or gaps in the joints. They were packed very well.
