This is a good product for quality and price. I love the reflective metallic look and the product feels very durable despite the low price. The lid didn't crack even when steaming. However, the instructions state that the lid is only heat resistant at very low temperatures, which raised some doubts as to whether it could also be used during cooking, but so far this hasn't been an issue. I had an issue that was causing potentially permanent stains on the stainless steel finish. I added salt to the steamed items and then found that there were whitish stains on the pot of water that could not be removed with a scraper. I would recommend not adding salt before or during steaming, instead taking food out after cooking and salting later.
