My 4 month old Shih Tzu loves this food. I have spent many many hours researching dog food and I find this product to be of very high quality. Important: There is a great deal of debate as to whether dogs should include grains in their diet. Taurine is at the center of the debate – taurine is an important part of the diet. My dog is only 4 pounds so he needs a little bite. However, she has no problems with chewing and swallowing. When she was younger I used smaller pellets. You can always soak it in warm water.
