Best Ingredients Found

After the breeders abandoned the 'junk food' that the breeder was using until they finally fed 100% of this new food, the puppies ran out of runny stools. The puppies liked the taste immediately and were easily weaned from the breast. Very satisfied and I find the ingredients to be the best of any product compared. Expensive but not much more expensive than other lower quality foods, definitely worth it. I have bought 3 times now, will look for a bigger bag!

***Damaged/Defective Dog Food***

This is the sixth time I have given my dogs the same food from different vendors. They start eating it from this (NEW) bag after the old bag is gone, both dogs have had diarrhea for several days. If I stop feeding them, they're fine. But one night I tried to feed them again, they immediately got diarrhea. It seems to me that this dog food is defective / spoiled, I asked the seller for a refund. However, Beaver Creek Pet Supplies had NO response from the seller and they also edited my posted…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

This food has been available for a week and our 9 week old long hair mini dachshund seems to like it. We mix it up with a small scoop of NuVet Vitamin Powder and a serving of Pollack Grizzly Oil Supplement and our pup finishes his serving with no problem. So far his stool has been of good consistency. There are some low reviews complaining that the smell is too fishy; Although there is a slight fishy smell, this isn't bad at all and wouldn't put me off using this product. My research shows this

  • Nice packaging

NOT THE FORMULA YOU GET IN A FRESH BAG

I have been giving this brand and formula to my pup since we bought it and have had no problems. I tried ordering this from Revain to avoid the frequent trips to the pet shop, but after giving my dog ONE food from the packet I received, she developed EXPLOSIVE diarrhea. After realizing that the problem was the new bag of food we went back to the bag we bought at the pet store and everything was completely back to normal. I believe it must be a defective bag and/or a very old bag with an old…

Dog loves it dry

I have tried others including Farmina, BLUE Wilderness, Taste of the Wild etc but my dog/puppy loves this one. The groomer asked what he was fed as his coat is soft/shiny. I have to say that this is the only food he eats consistently. Anything else mixed with it stays in the bowl and is unaffected. I have given up other brands (BLUE Wilderness and Taste of the Wild) that I have fed my other dog (who passed away a few years ago) for years. Never had any quality problems and always fast delivery.

Great food if you prefer a grain free diet

My 4 month old Shih Tzu loves this food. I have spent many many hours researching dog food and I find this product to be of very high quality. Important: There is a great deal of debate as to whether dogs should include grains in their diet. Taurine is at the center of the debate – taurine is an important part of the diet. Some sources say it's best to use ingredients high in taurine and organ meats and avoid legumes. Difficult to go through all the reviews as many items contradict each other…

Are things changing?

Significantly worse than the Canadian version. We finished a 28lb bag of Orijen Puppy and immediately ordered this 25lb bag. When fed at the same rate as the previous bag, our dog's poop immediately became larger, drier, and "grittery," as if the food was less digestible. Her fur was getting duller and she definitely couldn't hold her weight, so we gradually increased the amount of food by about 20%. We've gone through most of this bag and the situation hasn't changed. To find out what had…
