The plastic scraper blades proved to be a lot more useful than I thought.

scraper did the trick to easily remove the goop. I found the orange hard plastic blades perfect for this - I didn't think a plastic scraper could do the job so well, but I was pleasantly surprised that it outperformed razor blades. The grip was comfortable even after an hour of work. Blades changed easily - tool felt sturdy enough to hold securely in hand - no slipping or problems getting the job done. I am very happy with my purchase.
