Review on 🥗 CARTINTS Green Collapsible Food Storage Containers: 4 Piece Set with Lids, Silicone Lunch Containers, Microwave and Freezer Safe by Anthony Cano

I like the premise of these food storage containers. They look really nice & the bright green is pretty. They don’t take up as much room in the cupboard because they’re expandable. I didn’t know how much they hold so I was disappointed that they’re as small as they are. Also, as they’re made of silicone, they don’t always hold their shape when trying to snap the lids on. They easily expand but the lids were a little difficult to snap on & off. I have arthritis in my thumbs so someone without a problem would probably have no trouble.I used water to measure how much each holds & then tried the lids. The smallest container holds 1 ½ cups & the lid snapped on without spilling when it sat flat on the counter, the next larger one holds 2 cups & it snapped on without spilling. The next larger held 3 cups & when I snapped the lid on it folded up a bit & there was a small spill. The largest held 4 cups & I had to push it down to put the lid on. I just did it automatically which is probably the best way to try it as I doubt I’ll be thinking too hard when putting away leftovers. It collapsed on one side when I put the lid on even though it was still sitting on the countertop. Water dumped everywhere. Consequently, hot liquids could be a huge problem & I sure wouldn’t open or close this container with them inside.My conclusion is that they’ll work better with solids, not anything with very much liquid. None of them leaked when all four tabs on the lid were attached to the bowl even when holding them upside down. I didn’t get one tab snapped down on one bowl & it leaked. So to get leak-proof results, all four tabs on each lid have to be engaged. The center of each lid has a green air vent valve so the bowls can be used in the microwave. The lid can also be removed for venting. I found the vent hard to release without pulling it all the way out of the lid. It’s even harder to get them back in the center of the lid if you mess up & pull to hard. The containers can also be used for freezing & they’re dishwasher safe. Not quite as good as I expected & they won’t be used for my original intent.
