I'm trying to get my desk cleaner for work (and play). For gaming, my gaming laptop hangs on the side (great, clean, I know), but for work I need something small and tidy, preferably close in size to my Thunderbolt dock (Dell TB19). Enter Beelink Mini PC. In the past I've always looked at them from the outside as they often trade performance/functionality for a small form factor. Imagine my surprise when I saw the specs of this beast - 16GB RAM? Full 8th gen i5 processor? 512GB SSD? I decided to give it a try to see if I could make my ideal gaming/professional clean station a reality. First a minor annoyance - the system comes in a pouch, not a box. It was well packed in the bag but at first I was a bit worried. It turned out I had nothing to worry about as the system works perfectly. It comes with a bunch of cables for power (of course) but then for the display, accessories and even adding extra drives to the PC, amazing! I plugged it in and it quickly came to life. Startup was quick and after the necessary Windows updates, installing Ninite, etc., it worked on both monitors. For those asking, it handled 60fps on both my 34" 2k monitor and 27" 4k monitor with ease. In terms of performance, when it comes to performance like Office Suite, MS Project and Adobe Photoshop, there is no problem. Thanks to its excellent processor and 16 GB of RAM, it easily handled many Chrome tabs. However, Chrome consumes a lot of memory, so that's it. Games ran well on medium settings and especially eSports titles like SC2, Fortnight and Overwatch ran smoothly. I am definitely happy with this purchase and look forward to using it as my daily driver for work. Can't recommend it enough if you're looking for a small form factor PC that looks clean and handles normal day-to-day work without a sweat.
