Review on Radioddity GD 77 Digital Channels Programming by Daryle Grove

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Visit a DMR school before buying. Not suitable for travel or emergencies.

I'm sorry I can't use G-77; I have used VHF/UHF radios for over 40 years. What I needed was a radio that I could turn on, tune in to, listen to repeaters and decide which ones to turn on and broadcast. And I wanted it for emergencies and when traveling. This radio definitely does not meet these requirements. If I had known I certainly wouldn't have bought it, but there was no way to know in advance. I understand that DMR functions are complex and require a little learning. But you can't even use the FM functions without programming first, and God help you when you're not at home and want to talk to someone, or when you're in an emergency. For me, the radio is useless without many hours. Research and download of additional programs of 230 MB. The software was not included, the manual is unusable, you have to search the internet for information/videos etc. Too complicated and cumbersome. Radioddity accepted the return of the radio and refunded the original price, but I had to pay $11.34 for shipping. .
