I bought this smaller version and not the combo because I have fine thin hair and reviews say it falls out of fine/fine hair (maybe). The combo has a large one that appears to be about 10-12 inches long, plus this one that is about 6 inches long. I used this smaller version to make a trapezoidal bob. It worked well. Some of the finer/finer hairs on my temples kinda fell out, but that didn't detract from the end result and was easy to trim/blend. my head. never mind Bottom line, it works as advertised. I recommend anyone who buys this to take the time to watch the instructional videos before committing to the final version. Cons #1: It's a bit pricey due to the simplicity. I believe if you use it the ROI is worth it as you save $$ on professional haircuts. Cons #2: It can be difficult for fine to fine hair. As discussed above, finer hairs from my temples don't stay in it. I thought of spraying it with hairspray or something to make it tacky but didn't want to glue it. If I had a suggestion to the manufacturer: change the design to make it better for thin thin hair. Not all of us have luxurious manes that fill the combs of this device.
