I have a Jeep Wrangler. I received a Rugged Ridge cell phone mount adapter. This is a great phone holder, but rubber phone holders have become a caution after a few years of use. I've recently started using the Magsafe feature at home and work and I've upgraded my phone case to a magnetic safe. So I decided to get a Magsafe charger for my Jeep. The first attempt was unsuccessful. The charger does not hold my phone in shocks. I sent it back and tried this one. This charger now comes with a metal ring that attaches to your case. I couldn't get it to stick to my case but I didn't do any surface prep and silicone cases usually leave residue on the surface so it's no wonder the ring didn't stick. However, the magnet in these chargers is enough to protect my phone in my Wrangler through all the road bumps I've encountered over the past few weeks. The phone is still relatively easy to remove, and charging is fast and efficient. My phone doesn't overheat. For me, these are all requirements for a good charger. Now I have not used any hardware on this charger as it fits perfectly onto my solid ridge base allowing me to continue using that base. It was also a pleasant surprise.
