Review on Enhanced Performance LG GSA-E60L 8X Slim DVD-Writer: Unleash Your Entertainment by Andres Black

I bought this drive (back in 2007 when it cost twice what it does now) to fix the flaws of the internal DVD drive I had in my old PC had. That is, the drive that came with the PC refused to load/read some burned CDs as well as some compressed DVDs. Thinking LG was the right choice, I bought this drive to access data and movies that my internal drive couldn't read. Installation was easy, plug and play. On the first try it couldn't read the same CDs as my other drive because I thought the CDs were damaged. I tried them on another PC which was about 8 years old at the time. Worked great on the old car. I reinstalled windows (in case of server errors, virus and/or malware not found and (fortunately my windows dvd read fine) both the internal drive and this external drive could not be read again on their own and have the same discs the drive is gathering dust on the shelf, although it looks like a fancy paperweight, so it's a use it will do very well, but when it comes to CD reading/writing this LG product should be avoided like the plague .
